The maid/matron of honor helps the bride in planning whole wedding. She is the one who assist the bride in all her wedding planning preparations with emotional and analytic support. Basically she is an attendant. She can also be a bride’s close friend or her sister.
Responsibilities of Maid of Honor:
- Direct other maids their duties.
- Make sure all bridesmaids get their dresses, go to dress fittings, and find the right jewelry.
- Help the bride to shop for dresses and trousseau
- Help the bride with pre-wedding works
- Host the bride’s shower event
- Attend all pre-wedding functions
- Keep a record of all the gifts received at various functions
- Plan the bachelorette party
- Check all bridesmaids to reach the ceremony on time, and have the correct bouquets.
- Keep the groom’s ring during the ceremony.
- Keep the bride’s bouquet during the couple exchanges vows.
- Sign the marriage license as a witness, along with the best man.
- The maid of honor continues to be a trusted friend, a good listener, and a smart advisor.
- Listening to all the needs of bride like availability of food and drinks for bride. Always present by her side as an emotional support.
