Marriage Certificate is the letter of proof that announces the marriage practice with validation
Eligibility Criteria
- Marriages which are already performed according to Hindu rituals are registered under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955
- Either of the parties must be inhabitant of the Tehsil in which the marriage has to be registered.
- The girl should be at least 18 years in age and the boy should be at least 21 years in age.
Procedure for the Registration of Marriage in Chandigarh
- The couple submits an application in prescribed form stamped with mandatory Court Fees at the time of marriage registration.
- On the identification of village numberdar the marriage is registered under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955
- There is no time limit for marriage registration under Hindu Marriage Act.
