Hair coloring is done for complete hair but today it’s in vogue that women go for high lightening and low lightening, this is coloring a particular portion of the hair normally known as strands

  1. Chunking: for high lightening thick layer of hair

  3. Hair painting: it is done with brush at home for temporary coloring the hair

Types of coloring

  • Permanent hair color: Use of oxidation dyes. It is for the permanent hair dye.
  • Demi- permanent hair color: Use of alkaline agent other than the ammonia. It retains the original hair color unlike the permanent hair color and is less damaging to hair. After some washes its easy to switch to another hair color or the original hair color.
  • Semi permanent hair color: It contains low level of developer like ammonia and peroxides. It lasts for weeks and less damaging to hair.
  • Temporal: It’s for temporary bases and the color particles only sticks to the hair shaft and coloring can be removed after a single shampooing.

  • Hair damage due to chemicals

Herbal Utility

Applying henna is not like using the permanent hair dye which is full of chemicals instead its temporary which only coats hair with the color. It can be done in home. Black hair will have reddish luster, blond and grey hair will have orange appearance, and brown hair will have reddish brown appearance. This method provides conditioning as well as is chemical free.
